Common Entrance Test 

(MAH M. Arch CET)

Maharashtra Architecture Common Entrance Test, commonly known as MAH M.Arch CET, is a state-level entrance examination is conducted by State Common Entrance Test Cell (Maharashtra). The exam is organized for admission into the first year of a 2-year full-time PG degree course in Architecture i.e M. Arch.

As per latest information available, test that will be conducted in the month October. 

 

To pursue M.Arch from Institutions located in the state of Maharashtra, qualifying MAH-CET is mandatory. There is no admission on the basis of GATE Architecture Score in M.Arch in the state of Maharashtra. â€‹

To appear in MAH-CET Architecture, Candidates must have completed or in final year of  B.Arch with minimum 50% marks from a recognised architecture institute.

The pattern of MAH_CET examination will be as follows-

  • The examination will be only in English and the duration is 1 hours for answering 50 Multiple Choice Questions. 

  • Each question will of 2 Marks

  • A maximum of 100 marks can be scored in the entrance examination. 

 

The syllabus of the MAH-CET will cover the topics which the candidate has studied at the graduate level in Architecture. Overall there will five section in MAH-CET Architecture examination.

  • Section 1 - Building Technology (10 Questions)

  • Section 2 -Environment (10 Questions)

  • Section 3 -Architecture History and humanities (10 Questions)

  • Section 4 -Settlement, design and planning (10 Questions)

  • Section 5 -Current Architecture Practice (10 Questions)

 

Conducting Body (State CET Cell, Maharashtra) will release the MAH M.Arch  Result  tentatively by November. Candidates can visit to their official website 

(http://mahacet.org) and check their results.

MAH M.Arch CET is conducted for admissions in all the government as well as private colleges and universities that are situated in the state of Maharashtra only. There are no single window counseling procedures for admission and allotment of seats in the colleges. After the declaration of result candidates can apply for the colleges individually according to their preferences. Candidates must check individual eligibility criteria and the cutoff for the colleges in which they are applying for admission.
